Welcome to Woodland Class

Year 1 and Year 2

Our class is called Woodland Class, named after the natural environment of ancient woodland.

We believe that it is our job to ensure your children learn to love school and are ready, by the time they leave us, for KS2.

We try to achieve this by ensuring that they are able to read fluently, write legibly, have an understanding of numeracy but most importantly enjoy coming to school and are willing to take full advantage of the opportunities available to ‘let their light shine’.

This could be in sports, drama, music, maths, history, writing… the list is endless.

Hello and Welcome Back to Autumn Term!

This term our Curious Curriculum theme is ‘I wonder … Who lives in a castle?’

As part of our history learning we will be finding out all about castles, visiting Bodiam Castle later this term to experience a castle first hand and making our own models of castles for a classroom display. We are really looking forward to this.
